How to drive with a bbl pillow? A Complete Guide

Driving after a Brazillian Butt Lift can be tricky since you should not put pressure on your newly enhanced buttock for a weak after surgery. The recovery process comes with some challenges and one of the big tasks is how to sit, especially when you need to drive a car. Thus, the BBL pillow is designed to help you sit comfortably without affecting your results after surgery. This is especially important when driving, as sitting for extended periods can negatively affect your results if done incorrectly. But how do you drive safely using a BBL pillow? In this blog, we will explore how to use a BBL pillow while driving without compromising the fat transfer results from your BBL.

Driving After Your BBL

After bbl surgery, avoid sitting directly on your buttocks for at least three weeks to protect the newly transferred fat. During this period, you may need to drive to get to work or to do your daily activities. Avoid driving for at least two weeks after surgery and possibly longer if you are not feeling well. While sitting directly on your buttocks is not allowed, you can use a bbl pillow to sit in a car while driving. A bbl pillow is a small cushion placed under the thighs to take pressure off the buttocks while sitting. A bbl pillow allows your butt to be suspended in the air instead of touching the car seat preventing excess fat on the area.

How to Properly Position the BBL Pillow in Your Car

  • Place the BBL Pillow on the Seat: To sit in a car, place the BBL pillow on the edge of the car seat, closest to the steering wheel. Position it in such a way so, that it supports your thighs instead of your buttocks.
  • Sit Down Gently: Carefully lower yourself onto the pillow ensuring your thighs are fully supported by it. The pillow should hold the weight of your body from your thighs down to your knees, with no pressure on your buttocks.
  • Adjust Your Body Position: Slide your hips slightly forward if needed to keep your butt elevated and off the seat. Your lower back should still be supported by the backrest of the car seat.
  • Steering Wheel Position: Adjust the steering wheel as needed so you can comfortably reach it without hunching or putting extra pressure on your body.
  • There should be no strain or uneven weight distribution. Adjust your thighs so they’re parallel to the ground, with your knees slightly bent and relaxed. This position helps you avoid discomfort and ensures your butt remains untouched by the seat.

    Tips for Driving Comfortably Post-BBL

  • Drive Carefully: Driving after bbl requires you to be extra careful to protect the surgery result. In the first few weeks, keep your drives short—try not to sit for more than 20-30 minutes at a time as extended sitting can put unnecessary strains on your body.
  • Take breaks while driving: Choose to drive at least two weeks after your BBL, and avoid driving during rush hour or over long distances to minimize the time you are sitting. Take a stop every thirty minutes or so to stretch your legs, drink some water, and readjust yourself.
  • Use BBL Pillow with Backsupport: In addition to using your BBL pillow, consider adding extra support for your lower back. You can use a bbl pillow with back support.  Sitting for extended periods may put pressure on your back, so using a small cushion or lumbar support can help relieve that tension and keep you more comfortable behind the wheel.
  • Avoid Bumpy Roads: Finally, try to avoid bumpy roads and sudden stops as much as possible. Rough terrain or jerky movements can put stress on your healing body, so plan your routes ahead of time to stick to smoother roads. Taking these steps will help make your driving experience more comfortable while keeping your recovery on track.
